BiographyTrinidad & Tobago

Abigail Sabeeney is a Contemporary Caribbean Visual Artist based in Trinidad and Tobago. Inspired by the beauty of nature and the vibrant spirit of the Caribbean, she creates richly textured works that explore themes of transformation, resilience, hope, and the enduring connection between humanity and the natural world.

A lifelong passion for art led Abigail to study Visual Communications at the Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, where she received the Outstanding Academic Achievement Award, was selected for the Design Honors Group, and earned recognition on both the National Dean's List and the Honor Roll. Before pursuing art professionally, she worked for five years as a flight attendant with BWIA British West Indian Airways.

Working across acrylic, oil, pastel, graphite, charcoal, watercolour, plaster, resin, and mixed media, Abigail has exhibited extensively throughout Trinidad and Tobago in solo and group exhibitions. Her first solo exhibition in 2015 showcased 160 original works, followed by What the Rose Taught Me… Love in 155 Strokes in 2025. She continues to expand her exhibition record while generously supporting charitable organizations through donations of her artwork.

Rooted in a deep appreciation for nature, Abigail's work celebrates beauty, healing, and transformation. Through expressive colour, layered textures, and organic forms, she invites viewers to pause, reflect, and reconnect with the world around them. She continues to create from her studio in Trinidad and Tobago, sharing a contemporary Caribbean voice with collectors and audiences both locally and internationally.
