Sandy Maraj
Twenty-five years in the Caribbean art world — framer, sourcer, gallerist.
I have spent more than twenty-four years in the visual arts sector — in galleries, in framing studios, in fine art production, and in the logistics that get artworks from an artist's hands to a collector's wall. Along the way I have built a reputation as a trusted resource for artists, collectors, businesses, and cultural organizations across Trinidad & Tobago and the wider Caribbean.
My core expertise is in the acquisition, sale, and presentation of original and commercial artwork. I work with private collectors, businesses, and institutions to help build meaningful collections — guiding artwork selection, cataloguing, preservation, and long-term collection management. Promoting both Caribbean and international artists is the throughline of everything I do.
As a professional framing specialist, I am recognized for craftsmanship in custom framing and conservation-quality presentation. Every artwork deserves thoughtful protection and presentation, and the framing choice is never just decorative — it protects the work for decades or centuries. My work in large-format digital printing and fine art reproduction extends the same discipline into colour management, print preparation, and material selection.
Two decades in procurement, inventory management, international sourcing, customs documentation, and distribution mean I understand every step of what it takes to move art materials, framing supplies, equipment, and finished artworks around the world — and to keep everything accountable while doing it.
Sea Sand Art Source is the platform that brings all of this together: a gallery that verifies every artist personally, frames every work in-house, and stands behind every piece it sells with the documentation collectors need to trust what they are buying.
