
Kavir Mootoo
Kavir Mootoo, born and raised in Trinidad, and trained at Kingston University, Kingston-Upon-Thames, UK, BA (Hons.) (Landscape Architecture) has been working as a visual artist since 2016.
His work has been inspired by nature, fashion, architecture, landscape architecture and the need for environmentally sustainable lifestyles.

Mootoo paints on canvas and clothing. His recent works, reflective of his background in architecture, involve sculptural and bas relief works that make use of salvaged plastics.
His work on clothing revives previously-worn items, making them new again, so that the wearer has a dynamic, planet- and people-friendly alternative to buying 'new' clothes, and which are works of art in themselves.
Mootoo lives and works in Trinidad and Tobago.
