I hadn't been painting for a few weeks before I did this, so I was ecstatic to paint again, but things on my mind had me heavy.

Painting is great because it puts me in touch with myself. Somehow I feel connected to something, whether it's to myself, my spirit, a higher power, the room, the paint, the canvas, my feelings, my thoughts, memories. Sometimes it's just a sense of connection that we're yearning for.
